Meet the pilot recruiting, interviewing, and hiring expert!
Heather started her aviation journey at 18 years-old as a student pilot while working several jobs to pay for flight training. After becoming a private pilot, Heather continued her education and graduated as a certified National Weather Observer with a college degree in Air Traffic Control. She secured her first airline job immediately after college in 2012 as a Crew Scheduler at a regional airline, CommutAir, and was later appointed to start their first Pilot Recruiting department. Heather recruited, interviewed, and hired the pilots for two regional airlines (CommutAir & Piedmont Airlines) for several years and was responsible for training all other pilot recruiters. She became the first Manager of Pilot Career Recruiting at American Airlines in 2017 and was responsible for the oversight of pilot recruiting efforts for the American Airlines Group which included American Airlines, Envoy Air, Piedmont Airlines, and PSA Airlines.
Heather has recruited, interviewed, and hired thousands of airline pilots, airline support staff, flight attendants, and airline managers since her airline recruiting career began in 2014. Her mission was not only to attract and find top talent, but to also incrementally grow and diversify the pilot pool in the United States.
As a leading industry expert, she knows exactly what the airlines are looking for. After two years of working for American Airlines as the Manger of Pilot Career Recruiting, Heather started a company doing what she loves most and founded Aviator Mentor, LLC in 2019.

Meet the professional airline pilot and jack of all trades!
Heath's desire to become a professional airline pilot started at a very young age. He was 7 years-old when his family traveled to Australia on a US Airways flight out of Pittsburgh, PA. The pilots were kind enough to allow him to enter the cockpit during the long flight, and that was the moment he knew what he wanted to be when he grew up.
Heath was a Cadet in Civil Air Patrol and continued his education at Ohio University, where he completed his flight training and graduated with a Bachelor’s Degree. The University hired him as a Staff Instructor, where he was able to teach and fly with private, instrument, and multi-engine students to build his flight time for the airlines. He was also given the opportunity to fly for a private aircraft owner. He was able to give the owner instruction while also helping to maintain the airplane.
In 2011 Heath accepted a First Officer position with a small regional airline based near Cleveland, Ohio flying the Bombardier Dash 8 and was given the opportunity to help out with pilot recruiting at various events across the country. Heath left the airline in 2015 and flew a corporate jet for 12 months before returning to the airlines to work with Heather at Piedmont Airlines, where they were able to recruit and hire pilots together on a full-time basis. It wasn't long before Heath secured his dream job with the largest airline in the world, flying the Boeing 737 and recently moved over to the Boeing 777.
