Listen - whether you received your flight training in a military, Part 141, 61, or international environment, we can all agree that you spent a lot of time and money earning your flight ratings and certificates. Every single one of you have a unique journey that led you to where you are today, but how do you summarize that in a professional setting in under five minutes? How do you stand out? That's where I come in. I teach you how to showcase your experience and give polished answers. The last thing interviewers want is for you to sound like a robot - so let's avoid that. You simply need to be the best version of yourself and you need my help to get there.
By the time you're interviewing for a major or legacy airline, someone in the FAA signed you off to receive your ATP certificate. It's no secret that you're qualified to some extent, but the airlines are looking at more than just that.
Will you fit in with their culture?
Can they see themselves flying a three day trip with you?
Do you have any aircraft accidents, incidents, violations, or checkride failures?
What do other airline pilots have to say about you as a person and as an aviator?
These are a few important things that interviewers need to consider before extending that CJO (conditional job offer). What may be more important is how you talk about past mistakes, failures, and shortcomings. We've all messed up somewhere along the line, but how you talk about it in an interview setting may be more important than the actual incident. I teach you all of this in the interview prep services I offer.
Now, the reality is that there isn't any interview prep program, course, or coach that could ever guarantee that you will receive a job offer at your choice airline. We are not the exception. What we can promise you is that you can feel confident that after working with us and implementing what we teach you - you will have done everything in your power to land your dream job. And peace of mind, my friends, is worth something.
Let me know if you have any questions! I hope to work with you soon.
-Heather
Did you know that Heather started the first pilot recruiting department at the regional airline CommutAir (a United Express carrier) in 2014? She single-handedly recruited all pilots hired at that airline. In fact, she was solely responsible for pilot recruiting events, university & flight school visits and partnerships, flight department marketing and airline branded swag, booking flights for interview candidates, picking them up from the airport in the company van (yes, really), conducting pilot interviews, processing their fingerprints, extending conditional and official pilot job offers, and scheduling new hire class dates.
She was recruited by Piedmont in 2015 and was one of two people to recruit, interivew, and hire all of the Piedmont Airlines pilots until the team was able to expand. She trained every new pilot recruiter at the company and created the pilot interview process. Heather hired the first jet pilot at Piedmont after they transitioned from the Dash 8 to the Embraer 145 and hired the first Piedmont Cadet. She spearheaded the Military Transition Program and worked with military helicopter pilots transitioning to fly fixed wing with the airlines and created partnerships with flight schools who worked with these pilots, using their GI Bill and airline bonus incentives to cover funding for their flight training. Heather also hired the first Australian pilot at Piedmont through the E-3 Visa program.
Heather was recruited by American Airlines in 2017 to become their very first Manager of Pilot Career Recruiting where she helped with interviewing pilot candidates at the airline, was responsible for every pilot recruiting event (including WAI, OBAP, NGPA), created and launched the first virtual pilot career fair, worked directly with the pilot recruiting departments at Envoy, Piedmont, and PSA to oversee the American Airlines Group pilot recruiting efforts, helped create and launch the American Airlines Cadet Academy program, managed a $1 million dollar flight education grant program to help grow and diversify the pilot pool in the US, was responsible for every flight scholarship awarded, and managed 120 special assignment pilots for recruiting events every year.
And get this - Heather has experience in both pilot recruiting AND pilot selection/hiring.

Did you know that Heath has five instructor certificates and was a full-time staff instructor at Ohio University? Did you know that he's been an active pilot recruiter and mentor since 2014? Heath was able to attend many pilot recruiting events across the country with Heather during his time at CommutAir. Heath was recruited by Piedmont Airlines senior management in 2016 an became the very first managment pilot to help recruit and hire pilots at the airline full-time while still maintaining flight currency and flying the DHC-8 for the company. Heath recreated the pilot interview process and provided in-depth technical interview training for new hire recruiters.
Heath left Piedmont in 2017 to fly for a legacy airline and is currently based in CLT on the B-737. He was given a unique opportunity to help with the airline's recruiting events on his off days and help create the mentor program for their cadet program when he first joined the airline. He was one of three line pilots selected to help at his airline's first virtual career fair.
And you guessed it - Heath also has experience in both pilot recruiting AND pilot selection/hiring.
When Heath isn't flying or helping Aviator Mentor clients, he serves as a certified firefighter, EMT, and helps lead the county's Emergency Management Association as a remote pilot. Heath has been asked to create and lead training events for the emergency drone response team in our county and remains an active member.
